  11. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

  13. I recently tried to install both AmiTCP and PPP V1_30 (eval) to my
  14. system for use with the local university's PPP accounts. I've followed
  15. the documentation as closely as I can and yet I can't seem to get things
  16. working right.

  18. As it stands now when I initiate the startnet command, PPP 1_30 opens
  19. the serial port no problem, gets the modem to dial, connects and issues
  20. the login sequence for my account and then the dialer window closes.
  21. Presumably the rest of the startnet script is supposed to execute at
  22. that point. What happens, though, is the PPP program passes some data
  23. over the modem connection a couple of times and then quits with the
  24. following error message:

  26. S2_ONLINE: Device driver is offline (Unit is currently offline)
  27. AmiTCP:bin/online failed returncode 10
  28.  
  29. Without ever starting AmiTCP. No log files seem to be made telling me
  30. what's going wrong and the error code above is no help. Anyone have any
  31. ideas?
